The Cal/OSHA Training Academy is presented by the California Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA). We provide online training courses, guidance documents, videos, and other helpful resources on a variety of occupational safety and health topics. All employers and workers in the state of California have free access to the training courses and other information on this site. Employers may incorporate these courses and materials into their safety programs.

Users who complete the online courses will earn certificates of completion. Completion of this training, alone, does not constitute compliance with an employer’s legal obligations to comply with safety and health requirements under California law. The training courses and videos on specific topics are designed to be used as part of an employer's safety program and are not complete trainings on their own. Employers must provide training and instruction to their employees on hazards and procedures specific to their workplaces. To take a course, users must register by providing their name and email address. Any personal information provided by users will be used by this training environment solely to track course progress and award the certificate upon completion. You are encouraged to review the Department of Industrial Relations privacy policy.

ADVISORY: The Cal/OSHA Training Academy contains resources managed by external agencies and organizations, but does not review them for technical, legal or regulatory accuracy, and has no control over those sites.

This page will be updated as course offerings and information in new industries and topics become available.
